Bullet Journals: Help for Busy Brains
Dot or Bullet Journals: Help for Busy Brains
Are you curious about those funny, dotty bullet journals?
Well you are in the right place.
Read on to find out why we have started to create Bullet Journals.
What are Bullet Journals?
Also called Dot Journals they are blank page type journals filled with tiny dots instead of lines. These dots are flexible and give some structure to each page – I tend to go all over the place when faced with a blank page type journal so those dots help me create pages with a little bit of a foundation.
Uses for a Bullet Journal:
I use bullet journals for writing, and doodling combined. I start to lay the foundation for an idea, and then draw or sketch out some part of the idea nearby.
Here are other ideas:
- Travel scrap book/ Journal – Start before you go and plan, then use the Journal as you travel to record thoughts and stick in maps, tickets, etc…
- Set up a to-do list by the day or week on a page– Use the dots to form squares and tick or color them in when you have competed a task.
- The Dinner struggle is real! – Get a Bullet Journal to help keep track of your meals each week and then have a way to quickly look back over a few weeks so you can rinse & repeat successful meals/ weeks.
- Use to plan a party or event – Keep dates, RSVP’s, ideas found on the internet, even seating plans or cake drawings all in one place as you plan out an event or fund raiser.
- Organize Holidays – Create a gift giving guide for those on your list to stay on top when you get an idea, what it is, and when you gave it away.
There are so many uses for a Bullet Journal – Let us know how you are using a bullet journal to simplify your life below:
